Ask HN: Would an AI Calendar Assistant Be Useful – Opinions?
Hey everyone, I’ve heard it’s a great place to get feedback, so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how I plan my tasks—things like work assignments or hobbies (e.g., writing an essay or research). Using a calendar helps me stay organized, but I still struggle with focus and procrastination sometimes.
That got me wondering: what if ChatGPT could connect to a calendar? It could read your planned tasks and prep ideas, or even write drafts ahead of time. Consequently, when you sit down to work, you’ll already have a starting point, saving time and making it easier to dive in.
I see this working best for more complex or creative tasks, like writing or meeting work deadlines, where having some input extra creative input from ChatGPT can make a big difference.
For simpler tasks like “do laundry” or “buy flowers,” just jotting them down is enough to jog a user's memory.
To make it easy, users could describe tasks using prebuilt prompts, like “What’s the goal?” or “How many suggestions do you want?”, "Would you like for me to draft a preliminary response?". This would give ChatGPT enough context to provide useful suggestions without making the setup feel overwhelming.
I know this might take a bit more effort than just scribbling a note, but I believe it is worth it for tasks that need planning or creativity and could help.
Do you ever deal with similar struggles when planning or staying productive? I’d love to hear your thoughts or ideas—especially if you see potential in this or challenges I might not have considered. Thanks for reading!

Show HN: Analysis of CI/CD Pipelines
Hey HN,
My friend and I built a ton of CI/CD pipelines on GitLab. We realized how all these pipelines are a huge mess and super hard to maintain.
A few years ago, everyone started to worry about supply chain security. We were surprised to see that no one was focusing on the CI/CD pipeline for this. So, we started building a product to get a clear view of all pipelines and their security issues.
I would love to hear your thoughts on whether it is useful for you.
You can test it on your pipelines by following the documentation: https://docs.r2devops.io/docs/self-managed
