Hey all, curious to know how you handle this workflow of managing copilots. You no longer have "flow" in that you are not really doing the programming and it's more managerial, but what you do between prompts? Do you try to multitask on multiple programming features, or other tasks?

The idea came to me while I was watching a livestream with Antirez and mr RIP, one of the first streams they did together. I thought Antirez might be right when he said that once AI agents moved beyond the terminal, we would reach a whole new level. So I decided to create "Veduta", which is basically Hermes/OpenClaw but with a UI. What exactly is the advantage? It could track everything for you and give you visual feedback without you actually having to ask the same questions again, because all the information is stored inside the daemon running on the server. Instead of having something that just runs, you have something that delivers "sheets with written reports that you can consult at any time." This translates into saving tokens and accessing information faster, while also keeping everything organized. I built this for my own use case, and I think other people could benefit from it.

It's essentially a Rust rewrite of the ffmpeg CLI command, but with a modern API and good defaults + a native HTML/CSS composition engine that's been fine tuned for speed and memory efficiency. Under the hood, it still uses the libav* codecs from ffmpeg, so it can still work on a variety of formats.

Works very well with AI agents too: prompt what kind or intro/animation/graphics you need (or give it a reference), let the LLM come up with the HTML/CSS for it (Opus 5.5 is quite good at this), and let it use them on geneva.

It's way faster than the usual alternatives for putting still or animated graphics on videos (remotion, playwright etc.) because it doesn't use a browser or chromium. Everything is rendered natively, in a single pass.

hey everynyan,

i've always found it funny how much effort goes into making websites look good, only for every new user to be greeted by the same boring pfp.

and if you're building an app with hundreds of users, you're probably either assigning random images from a small collection or asking users to upload their own.

i wanted something better for the default state.

so i built blobz.

it turns any string into a playful svg avatar. same string will get same avatar every single time and you don't need to store the generated images.

i ended up making a react package, shadcn-compatible components, and a hosted api so it could be used in different projects.

it's open source as well

wdyt of the designs and will you use it for your projects?
