we're Alex and Vlad, devs who've spent countless hours writing SQL queries (and fixing broken ones). We've built SQL Expert, a hands-on learning platform that lets you practice SQL interactively while getting real-time, personalized feedback from an AI tutor.

The problems we focus on:

(a) Books and videos often lack the interactivity to catch mistakes immediately.

(b) Preparing for SQL interviews can feel disconnected from actual hands-on practice, making it hard to build genuine confidence before interviews.

The main feature is the Live AI Tutor: (1) Make a 3 min call with the AI Tutor (mobile-friendly) (2) Get the feedback via e-mail (3) Practice tasks recommended by the platform (4) Repeat

Other features: - Interactive "SQL Gym": solve SQL exercises directly against a live Postgres environment. - AI-powered feedback: our in-browser tutor detects mistakes, provides explanations, and helps debug queries. - Open-source course content, which is on our website, is also available on GitHub.

We're at an early stage and we're committed to making this valuable for folks genuinely interested in becoming stronger with SQL or preparing for the interviews.
