The Author of Clean Code No Longer Reviews AI-Generated Code

Robert Martin, the author of Clean Code, tweeted the following:

> I’m significantly older than you. I started coding in the late 60s. My current strategy is to not read any of the code written by my agents. That’s the only way I can take advantage of their productivity. What I do instead is to surround the agents with extreme constraints. Unit tests, gherkin tests, QA procedures, quality metrics, mutation testing, test coverage, and a plethora of others. In the end, I have very high confidence in the code they produce because they’ve had to run the gauntlet of all of my constraints and tests.

Show HN: Wianu – A native macOS home for all my streaming services

Mon, 07/27/2026 - 3:45pm

Hey guys,

so the original reason I thought of this idea was because I got tired of opening Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc., separately just to continue watching something.

Then I made a post here about streaming services where some of you did agree with me: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49007671

Wianu is a native macOS app that brings your streaming services into one place. You can save your services, maintain a unified Continue Watching list, and import your Letterboxd watchlist (or manage one directly in the app).

It's primarily a personal project because I do almost all of my movie and TV watching on my Mac, but I thought others might find it useful as well.

Feedback, criticism, and feature suggestions are all welcome

Show HN: Lorraine, an open source notetaker with speaker recognition

Mon, 07/27/2026 - 3:44pm

Hope y'all enjoy. Inspirted by a twitter thread reminding users that if a note taker is closed source and free, at some point they'll use your data for training or sell it to a third party.

Show HN: I've built a bookmark reminder for X, Bluesky, Mastodon and Nostr

Mon, 07/27/2026 - 3:43pm

I've started working on this project in 2022 and then shut it down after a few years. The idea was that I'm bookmarking interesting bits and then forgetting about them almost instantly, while I usually diligently check my emails and keep my inbox clean. Birdfeeder sends you a weekly digest of your bookmarks across these platforms so you don't forget about them.

I've recently revived it and added a bunch of features and new services. Mostly to get familiar with Bluesky, Mastodon and Nostr.
