Show HN: Helpedby AI – Multi LLMs chat with auto router, agentic RAG, MCP, etc.

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 4:36am

What if, you didn't have to select a model every time you wanted to chat with an AI?

I built a chat platform with AI that has the capability to auto-route the best model to help you with your queries, such as Claude Sonnet 3.5 for coding tasks, GPT 4o for creative writing, and so on.

It also comes with members' invitation to the workspace, agentic RAG, and the ability to create your own MCP to solve your specific issues.

The best part is that you don't have to subscribe to anything. The service uses a pay-as-you-go model where you top up your balance, and it will be deducted based on your usage (token in & token out).

Show HN: An intentionally annoying app to break doomscrolling

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 4:18am

Based on personal struggles, I built an app that shows annoying things on my phone when I doomscroll. This includes dancing cats, the screen time police, or rain.

Social media is great as long as you don't overuse it -- I learn and connect with friends thanks to it. But it's too easy to get hooked.

When you open addictive apps, SpeedBump gives you a few options: 2, 5, 15, 30 minutes. The more you want to use, the more you have to wait before opening. Once time's up, it starts to annoy you a lot. There's no way to extend the timer without breaking your streak; you'll have to take a 15 min break.

I used Compose Multiplatform. It's been very fun to develop and actually works for me.

Silence Is Violence

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 4:17am

When the forum moderators silence all discussion of the worst atrocities in the world because "it would start flame wars", that's exactly what burns the world down. Avoiding conflict, ignoring reality, to live in a world of shame and lies. They profit off our attention when it's meaningless, and ignore our pain when it's inconvenient. And the world burns while they count their money.

Show HN: Teach Your Parents Smartphone

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 4:05am

My parents got super confused when PhonePe (payment app in India) updated their app overnight. They immediately blamed me for "breaking their phone" lol. I had to spend an hour showing them how to use the new design.

Same thing happened with WhatsApp video calls. I realized this is a common problem - we teach our parents tech stuff once, but they forget because they don't practice enough.

So I made this tool that lets my parents practice using apps through step-by-step tutorials at their own pace. No one rushing them, no one judging.

The goal? Help my parents feel more confident with technology and give them a safe space to practice without feeling stupid for asking the same questions over and over.

Show HN: A free movies and series randomiser

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 4:00am

Hi HN! Over 3 years ago I developed a movies and series randomiser in Cordova web to deploy on app stores.

The first versions had ads in it to monetize the development, also a "PRO" version was released for the price of 1 dollar (or something like that, the lowest price tier as far as I remember).

Anyway, in recent years I've reached a point where all applications does not need to be monetized, some are just fun to develop and release for free. Show me a Movie is one of them! The current state of the app is the same as of 3 years ago. Besides getting it to work in the browser, minor bug fixes has been fixed.

With that said, go ahead and try it out. It is totally free, I only track page count using GoatCounter (for the fun of it). If you want to can leave some valuable feedback and insight which either I or someone else on HN can use in future projects!

Warm regards, Lukas

Show HN: I rebuilt my platform afetr getting 2 clients

Hacker News - Mon, 04/07/2025 - 3:54am

Hey everyone,

I first launched Alytica, my product analytics platform, back on December 21, 2024. I built it for two simple reasons:

1.I needed a solid and easy-to-use analytics solution for my own projects.

2.I'm naturally curious (okay, a bit geeky ) and wanted to see firsthand how these platforms handle tons of events.

Initially, I challenged myself to create and launch the MVP in just three weeks. Honestly, it wasn't perfect—in fact, it was pretty rough. But I decided to launch anyway, and surprisingly, I got a few clients who actually liked it.

Two or three months ago, I started rebuilding it from the ground up, and I'm excited to finally share Alytica v2! This new version is exactly what I had in mind from the start—more reliable, user-friendly, and packed with improvements. And there's still plenty more coming soon.

To celebrate this relaunch, I'm giving the first 100 users 20% off their first month with the code LAUNCH20. There's also a free plan available, so you can easily try it out without any commitment.

Check it out at alytica.tech and let me know what you think!
