I built a Q&A platform for tax discussion in Indonesia – would love feedback

Hacker News - Sat, 04/19/2025 - 3:18am

Hi HN,

I recently built a platform called DiskusiPajak (https://diskusipajak.com), which is a Q&A community focused on tax-related questions in Indonesia.

The idea came from a very real problem: people here often don’t know where to turn when they have questions about taxes. There are regulations, but the language is confusing, and asking online usually leads to unhelpful or outdated advice.

This platform works like Stack Overflow, but for taxes — anyone can ask, answer, or upvote the best responses. So far it's very early, but we’re starting to see users asking questions ranging from freelancer taxes to company VAT and crypto taxation.

Some things I’d love feedback on: – Does this model make sense for niche topics like taxation? – Any suggestions for driving organic growth in a country-specific community? – How can I improve the UX or onboarding without over-complicating it?

I’d really appreciate any thoughts or critiques – I’m still figuring things out.

Thanks for reading!

How do you know when a name is "good enough" to build around?

Hacker News - Sat, 04/19/2025 - 3:04am

Been working on an AI productivity tool and stuck on the name. One that keeps coming back to me is Cyntiq. It sounds sleek and kind of synthetic, which fits, but I’m not sure if it stands out or just blends in with the endless stream of short-techy-brandable names.

How do you decide when a name is good enough to commit? Do you just run with what feels right, or is there a deeper process behind choosing something to build around?

Show HN: Microagents; Tiny agents in a group chat, working for you

Hacker News - Sat, 04/19/2025 - 3:02am

Hey HN,

I've been a long time lurker of this site, and nothing i've built before felt "worthy" enough to share here. This one came pretty close. So here we go.

I've been playing around with the idea of "ai agent" collaboration. With protocols like MCP and A2A coming out, I think this is an interesting area to work on.

So I built, Microagents.

The idea is very simple.

1)Connect your tools (Gmail, Notion, Slack, and 100s more)

This will give you a "Micro" agent, which is specialized in that platform/tool. (Github Agent, Gmail Agent etc)

2) Group them into teams

You group these tiny agents into a team. For example. You can group GmailAgent and Google Calendar agent in a group that handles your meetings.

3) Assign tasks

The agents will collaborate and try to do your task in realtime.

I'd say the final product is still in very early stage. There are lot of gaps. I'd love to hear your feedback/criticism.

Show HN: Minimal Waitlist Page for Fast Email Collection

Hacker News - Sat, 04/19/2025 - 2:25am

I wanted to spin up a waitlist page super fast, but I couldn’t find anything that allowed me to do it quickly without paying for a service. So, I built a simple page with one core feature: a minimal Lorem Ipsum landing page paired with an email collection box.

It’s designed to be lightweight and get the job done—no extra frills, just a quick way to start collecting emails. Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions for improvement!

It's built for Nextjs and google sheets. The repo is public and free to do whatever you want.
